Junior Church
Junior Church today is about children and young people taking a full and active
part in the life and worship of the church. It's about being equipped for the
Christian journey, by learning and exploring the faith together. Above all,
Junior Church is the church of today as well as the church of tomorrow!
Junior
Church seeks to offer the highest quality Christian teaching and care to young
people aged 13 and under on a Sunday Morning at the 10.30am service during term
time. As we regard these young people as part of today's church they will
experience a mixture of teaching within their own age group and times together
as part of the whole church.
On Sunday mornings, Junior Church meets for
activities, discussions, and Bible studies. The activities are integrated with
the adults' worship: every Sunday morning service begins and ends with the whole
church together, and the whole church celebrates Holy Communion together. On the
second Sunday of each month we stay together as a whole church: worshipping as a
community of all ages!
For babies and toddlers, there is a crèche area in the
church; and when the children leave, parents may take little ones to the crèche.
Parents are always expected to stay with their children in the crèche. Other
children are returned to the Church by the group leaders. Please be aware that
once children are back in Church they are the responsibility of their parents or
guardians.
All children who go to Junior Church for the first time need to be
accompanied by a parent, who fills in a registration form, in line with our
Safeguarding policy. For more information contact The Revd Wilma Roest.
